Any Personal Protective Equipment, including Respiratory Protective Devices, should be CE/UKCA marked to demonstrate conformity. But how do you as an Importer know if the Certification and product you are buying is valid and compliant?
The COVID-19 pandemic of 2020 saw an influx of un-tested and uncertified Personal Protective Equipment, including many disposable masks. There were instances of importers and distributors being caught out by fake certification, costing them significant amounts of money. Breathe Laboratory were able to work closely with several importers to assess Certification and test product to ensure only safe, compliant PPE was made available to our Frontline Health Workers.
Prior to this, Breathe Laboratory were already working with experts within the industry to assess the conformity of imported products. Of note was an extensive project for the UK Ministry of Defence where a suite of American Breathing Apparatus products were tested and assessed for conformity.
